Open Houses

To kick off fire prevention week, an open house is held at one of the fire stations each year. Fire extinguisher demonstrations, automobile extrication, hazardous materials equipment, and activities for children take place throughout the day.
September 24, 2007, 6-8pm Station 2, 1141 89th Ave. Blaine

Oct.13 2007, 12-2pm, Station 1. 1710 County Highway 10 Spring Lake Park

Oct. 14, 2007, 1-4pm - Station 3 - 11920 Ulysses St. in Blaine

There is fire safety information, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers for sale, as well as safety information from Allina, Blaine Police Department, Regions Burn Center, American Red Cross, Connexus Energy, Minnesota Pollution Control, Reliant Energy/Minnegasco Gas Safety, Anoka County Integrated Waste Mgmt, and a Life Link III Helicopter.

Prize drawings and treats make the day complete. Canned food items are collected for the food shelf.
