CPR and First Aid Classes

HEARTSAVER FACTS 1ST AID - Fee: $45 per participant*

Adult, Infant, Child Heartsaver CPR

This 4-hour course is designed to meet the needs of lay rescuers who are learning CPR to
protect family members, friends, and coworkers. The curriculum includes infant, child, and
adult CPR, relief of FBAO (foreign body airway obstruction), and AED (defibrillator). This
course meets day care certification requirements. Upon successful completion of written and
practical skills testing, participants will receive a course credential card. Classes are taught by
certified instructors from the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-Mounds View Fire Department.
Limited to 12 per class. Register early!

Heartsaver Facts First Aid & CPR

This 4-hour course is ideal for individuals and employees interested in, or required to
implement CPR with first aid in an environment that serves adult populations. Upon
successful completion of written and practical skills testing participants will receive a course
credential card. Class is taught by certified instructors from the Spring Lake Park-Blaine-
Mounds View Fire Department. Participants must read the First Aid Manual prior to class.
Manual will be mailed two week prior to class or at the time of registration. Prerequisite -
must be CPR certified and show proof at time of registration.

*Refund Policy: A full refund will be given if Blaine Parks and Recreation cancels the class due to low
enrollment. A full refund will be issued if the participant cancels one week prior to the start of the
class. If the participant cancels less than 6 days before the class starts, a refund will only be given if
the participant can be replaced.
